Under 6 Division

Many players in this division are new to soccer; therefore, the focus remains on introducing the sport to players in a non-competitive environment. The U6 program includes a one-day practice each week (Wednesday) and regularly scheduled games on Saturdays or Sundays.  A “Super Session” will begin the practice with the Park Director, then the team coach will take the players back to their designated practice fields to practice what they have learned prior to a friendly scrimmage. They will play 4v4 with no goalkeeper.  All players should wear shin guards, bring water and a size 3 soccer ball to all practices and games.

Uniform: NASA provides a NASA t-shirt. Parents must provide a size 3 soccer ball, shin guards (players must wear shin guards at all sessions), shorts (preferably black), socks (preferably black) and water. Players may wear “turfs” or molded cleats.

Session Dates: Practices on Wednesdays, games are on Saturdays or Sundays. Practices may begin the week of February 23. League play begins Saturday, March 7.

Session Times and Duration: Either 5:30pm or 6:30pm. One hour each practice session consisting of a 10 minute “Super Session”, then practice with your team or scrimmage another U6 team.

Session Locations: NASA’s United Quest Park or NASA’s Metro North Park.
