This age group will have a mix of beginners and moderately experienced players. With this in mind, the program begins with the fundamentals then may progress to the introduction of greater skills development. The U8 program will have two practices each week; a 10-minute “Super Session” will be conducted by the Park Director at the start of the first practice of the week. The coach of the team determines the nights of the practices.  They play 5v5 (includes a goalkeeper).  All regularly scheduled games are on Saturdays or Sundays.  All players should wear shin guards, bring water and a size 3 soccer ball to all practices and games.

Uniform: All players must purchase a new Adidas uniform kit for fall 08 (kit cost is $45.00 and contains two game jerseys, one pair game shorts, one pair socks, backsack and one NASA practice t-
shirt. This cost is separate from the program cost and should be paid for online during the registration process). Parents must provide size 3 soccer ball and shin guards. Players wear tennis shoes, “turfs” or molded cleats.

Session Times and Duration: Either 5:50pm or 6:30pm. One hour each practice session consisting of a 10 minute “Super Session” at one practice per week, warm-up and practice with your team.

Session Locations: NASA’s United Quest Park or NASA’s Metro North Park.

Cost: $140.00 per player (plus uniform kit if not purchased fall 2008); includes a participation medal at the conclusion of the season.
