| NASA GIRLS TEAMS FINISH NATIONAL LEAGUE SEASON |
 |
NASA's girls teams wrapped up their National League season at the Disney Showcase over the New Year's holiday. We had four teams participating in this prestigious league (the highest level of play in US Youth Soccer) that took place over two events: Final Four Showcase and Disney Showcase. Our 12 Elite II, 13 Elite II, 14 Elite, and 15 Elite all competed and played well. We learned many things in the competition and developed players to continue to strive and play at the highest levels. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for reaching this lofty goal. We are proud of you and wish you continued success. | |

| NATIONAL LEAGUE |
 |
NASA is excited to have all four eligible girls teams competing in the USYSA National League. We are the only club to have a team in each age group that plays in the National League. Our G'15 Elite, G'14 Elite, G'13 Elite II, and G'12 Elite II will all play for a chance to attend the National Championship next summer. The league is the highest level of soccer available to girls teams and only accepts sixteen teams per age group from across the country. We are very proud of our teams that have gained acceptance into this prestigious league and wish them the very best of luck in their R3PL East, SPL, and National League seasons. | |

NASA held its fourth annual College Experience Camp May 13-15. The event was very successful and allowed our student-athletes the opportunity to showcase their abilities for college coaches. The weekend saw some excellent soccer and the coaches provided great insights into the recruiting process as well as what it takes to arrive and compete at the college level. | |

Caroline Waters (G13 Elite II) is the first from NASA's 2013 graduating class to commit to play college soccer. Caroline has decided to become a University of Georgia Bulldog in the Fall of 2013. Coach Eric Ritter has this to say, "Waters has worked very hard over the years to make playing in the SEC a reality. She has stayed focused in the face of adversity and has made strides towards realizing her dreams. It speaks to the type of person and player that she is. We are very proud of Caroline and wish her the very best at the next level. | |

Emily Sonnett – Marietta, Georgia (North Atlanta Soccer Assn) has been named to the 2010 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Youth All-Region team. Emily joins 16 other players making up this All-Region III team – nominated for this honor by their youth coach, and selected by the NSCAA Youth Girls All-Region chairs from across the United States. The 17 Region III players come from 3 states - Georgia, Florida and Texas. The NSCAA is the largest soccer coaches association in the world with over 30,000 members at all levels of soccer, from club teams to professional leagues all over the world and is partnership with US Youth Soccer and its Olympic Development Program and the US Soccer Federation. | |

| NASA G'15 ELITE WIN DISNEY JUNIOR SHOWCASE |
 |
The G'15 Elite went 4-0-1 on the path to being crowned Disney Junior Showcase Champions. The girls played some very good soccer going 2-0-1 in round robin play. This earned them the right to play in the semifinal against a tough AFC Lightning team. The '15 Elite prevailed and was matched up against Norcross in the final. After 70 minutes of regulation and 10 minutes of overtime, the game was still deadlocked at 1-1. The NASA girls won 3-1 in penalty kicks to be Disney Champions. The girls played well and we are proud of their accomplishments. | |

The NASA Girls program had two teams qualify for the 2011 Southern Regional Championships which will be held in June. The G'12 Elite II, coached by Dave Smith, and the G'14 Elite, coached by Joe Aaron, have both qualified through their stellar play in the Region III Premier League this fall.
