History

The Canterbury Cup is best known for providing great soccer concentrated in twenty fields in two adjoining complexes augmented by a small number of satellite fields all in one area of northeast Atlanta. The tournament draws teams from Georgia, Alabama, North and South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Ohio and Texas. Over the years, we have augmented these with teams from England and other foreign countries. In our 13th year, we are proud to have hosted one of the best tournaments in the region. We are also proud of the balance maintained between boys and girls recreational and competitive teams.

All teams in the tournament are guaranteed at least three scheduled games. Individual trophies are presented to the first and second place teams in each division (except U-10, they receive participation awards).

The tournament is close to shopping malls, water sports, golf and many other recreational activities and fine restaurants. Special room rates and a wide variety of lodging alternatives are also available.

The service is held each year on Canterbury Park field #1, and honors two Quest players who passed away during their youth career. These players are honored in the awarding of two scholarships: one to a graduating senior named after Matt Dufrense, and another to an underclassman, named after Cliff Cruce. Please join us for this annual tradition.
