Parental PledgeAs a member of United Soccer Club, I fully support the club's efforts to keep the game of soccer fun for the children. In supporting this effort I hereby pledge to abide by the following: I will use only positive words of encouragement to the players. I will not degrade referees, players, or coaches either verbally or with my actions. I will allow the players to think for themselves on the field by not constantly shouting instructions from the sidelines. I will hold the ideals of sportsmanship, integrity, and respect above all other things. At every opportunity, I will teach and encourage the players to do the same by my words and actions. I will be a role model, not only for my child, but for all players at the club by showing proper respect for authority and complying with decisions that are made both on and off the field. I will put the interests of the club before the team, and the team before the individual. I will keep in mind that all club decisions are made based on the best interest of all players at the club. I will support and abide by ALL club policies and teach the children to do the same. If I disagree with certain policies, I will voice my concerns to the appropriate person in the appropriate manner. I will keep in mind that the club's emphasis is on player development in a safe, fun environment and not on winning. I will remember that this is an instructional league where the children can play for FUN. I understand that if I am in violation of any of the above promises that I will be subject to a Ethics and Grievance (E&G) hearing at the club. The E&G Board will evaluate the situation and hand down sanctions which can range from suspension to expulsion from the club. I hereby agree to abide by the preceding statements at all times at the club, whether practices or games.
