Select Coaching ContractUnited Quest's objectives are to implant firmly in our young players the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence. These objectives can best be attained through your positive efforts as coaches since you are the closest link between United Quest and it's players and their parents. To assist you in your coaching efforts, following is a summary of some of the United Quest's rules affecting coaches. Coaches are selected upon their ability to teach soccer and provide leadership to the age group they wish to coach. All coaches serve at the discretion of the appropriate Director of Coaching and Board of Directors. An individual permitted to coach one season may be permitted, but shall not have any right, to continue to coach the same team or any other United Quest team during any other season. No individual may coach more than two teams in the U-10 and up age group (recreation or select) unless approved by the appropriate Director of Coaching. Problems between parents and coaches, and/or players should be directed to the appropriate Director of Coaching. After being duly warned by the appropriate Director of Coaching, any player or coach may be expelled from a team membership before or during the season when his/her conduct is deemed unacceptable by the Director of Coaching. The player or coach will be given an opportunity to appeal any decision to the Disciplinary and Protest which may sustain or reverse the Director of Coaching decision. Any coach removed from a game shall be suspended for the team's following game and must appear in front of the United Quest Disciplinary and Protest Committee. Coaches must not use alcoholic beverages or controlled substances (excluding, legally prescribed medications) of any kind before or during attendance at the league fields or when associating with their teams. Coaches must not use tobacco products of any kind during attendance at the league fields or when associating with their teams. Furthermore, coaches are not permitted to wear any Quest merchandise when visiting a drinking establishment or having alcoholic drinks anywhere at anytime. Coaches will refrain from the use of any profane or abusive language towards players, referees, or parents. The Director of Coaching shall have the authority to warn, suspend or expel any coach or other person, including players and parents, who violate United Quest rules or whose conduct is determined by the Director of Coaching to be detrimental to United Quest. I acknowledge receipt of the foregoing summary and agree to abide by all United Quest rule and regulations.
